Welcome to the 2021 Effie Awards Hong Kong! The Effie® Awards are known by advertisers and agencies globally as the pre-eminent award in the industry, and recognise any and all forms of marketing that contribute to a brand's success. Launched in 1968 by the New York American Marketing Association as an awards program to celebrate the most effective advertising efforts, the Effie Awards today honour all forms of effective marketing and the companies and individuals who have make it happen across the globe. For over 50 years, winning an Effie has become a global symbol of achievement. HK4As has been organising and presenting the Effie Awards Hong Kong since 2004. He also served as ZenithOptimedia Greater China Chairman. He has a decade of Asia experience, with strong trading, contractual and client experience including luxury, cars, healthcare, FMCG and finance. In 2010-2011 he was the global leader of Performics and he facilitated and led it’s launch, global roll–out and development into the first global performance agency. Prior to that for 6 years he has been the ZenithOptimedia regional CEO for CEE, Middle East and Nordics. Previously he was CEO of ZO Hong Kong for 6 years.

Freda Lau

Assistant Chief Retail Marketing Manager, MTR Corporation Limited

Freda has over 20 years of experiences in retail marketing and branding communication strategy across different industries and categories. Before re-joining MTR in 2019, she has been working at the Hong Kong Airport Authority taking care of the retail experience and traveler retail marketing. With her diversified career spanning agency, FMCG product marketing, traveler retail and shopping mall marketing, she established a broad exposure in brand management, communications and stakeholder engagement.

Heidi Nam

General Manager, Impossible Foods HK Limited

Heidi joined Impossible Foods as General Manager in October 2018. She oversees the strategic development of the business in Hong Kong and Macau, quickly growing the company into the strongest player in the plant based meat market. Before joining Impossible, Heidi held several prestigious roles at F&B giants Nestle Hong Kong and Campbell Soup Asia, the latter of which she served as General Manager of Hong Kong and Taiwan up until her enrollment at Impossible. Within both companies Heidi honed her skills in strategic development by heading up operations, leading innovation and successfully launching new product lines and categories to drive business growth.

Jaslin Goh

Head of Marketing, Design and Customer Experience, PayMe

Jaslin has over 20 years’ experience in integrated marketing, branding, management consultancy, insights, customer experience, innovation design and facilitation in Hong Kong, Greater China and other markets in Asia, across a broad spectrum of brands and specialising in fintech, banking, finance and insurance. Currently Head of Marketing, Design and Customer Experience at PayMe, she enjoys ideating for cool new ideas made for the digital natives and e-generation. She was previously Global Senior VP at Shangri-la Group, Chief Strategy Officer/Managing Partner at McCann Worldgroup, Managing Director at Added Value (now Kantar Consulting) and Strategy Director at Ogilvy. Melanie Lo

Former Group M Hong Kong, CEO

Melanie has over 30 years of media experience. She joined JWT in 1991 as a media planner, and moved to Mindshare as Deputy GM to help in establishing the office in HK in 1997. Under her leadership for 15 years, the agency had stayed at a leading position in the HK industry. She was appointed as GroupM HK CEO in 2012 until she retired from the role to pursue her personal interests in December 2020. She was the Media Chairman (2012-2017) and the Excomm member/Vice Chairman of HK4s in 2018-20, and the Chairman of HKTAM in 2019-2020 contributed to the media industry.

Michael Knox

Michael returned to Melbourne in January 2020 to lead Roller, News Corp's Creative agency.
